Hilary Sopata, ASID, LEED ID+C
founder and principal of Interior Visions Designs, Inc.

Hilary Sopata established Interior Visions Designs, Inc. in 2003 as a full-service interior design studio. Hilary is a registered interior designer with more than 20 years of experience in the design industry encompassing both residential and commercial design. She received her Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Accreditation. LEED Accredited Professionals (LEED APs) have demonstrated a thorough understanding of green building practices and principles and the LEED Rating System.

She also holds a professional certificate from the National Council for Interior Design Qualifications (NCIDQ) and has served on the panel which judges the professional exam administered by the NCIDQ. She is a graduate from Valparaiso University with a double major of Interior Design and Art.

Hilary is passionate about style and detail and carries with her a prestigious knowledge of interior design history that informs her everyday design decisions. But no matter how large the project and how wide-ranging the decision, Hilary allows no trace of self-importance to stand in the way of the flow of ideas; she encourages innovation and improvement while striving to always balance art with function.

Hilary attempts to educate as well as serve. She's a Past-President of the ASID Illinois and has been an active member of the professional organization. She mentors junior designers and students, and often presents on interior design at events such as NeoCon World’s Trade Fair.
